Will you be locked down (again)?

Kids in Lockdown

Believe it or not, “lockdown” is not a public health term. It is a prison term. Seriously, I have a Masters degree in Public Health from a top-10 school. What played out during the tyrannical Covid-19 response is unprecedented.

There are so many questions to unpack after this debacle. How was this allowed to happen? Who was in charge? Was this nonsense all a cover-up, intentional, or something else entirely?

The biggest question one needs to ask themselves is this. Will I tolerate being locked down again? Have I made myself more difficult to lockdown?

Lockdowns appear to have firmly made their way into the political elites emergency tool kit.

How to protect yourself from the next lockdown

Think about what lockdown took from you. Freedom of movement, the ability to work, to be able see family and friends, it forced medical interventions on you, and generally attempted to coerce your compliance to the new decree of the day. Some places had it worse than others. Sadly, the places where Armenian-Americans are centered like LA, NYC, and Boston had it the worst.

In the future we can expect lockdowns to be even more punishing, for instance recent legislation has made it so that all new cars must be built with remote kill switches.

To protect yourself and your family from this eventuality you need to be proactive.

First and foremost, get out of any place where they’ve shown they’ll lock you down. Move to some place that didn’t fail the test, or at least quickly recognized their errors and reversed course. If you can’t leave completely, then set up a secondary residence in such a place.

In Tennessee, where the Hyeland Project is attracting a new Armenian community, legislation was passed making lockdowns illegal for local governments and public health officials. Governor Bill Lee signed a law that prohibits local authorities from imposing lockdowns and other stringent COVID-19 measures. This legislative action was part of a broader effort to emphasize personal freedom and limit government intervention during public health emergencies. The law also includes restrictions on vaccine mandates and other health directives at the local level (source).

Another thing you can do to protect yourself is to have at least one older vehicle. Supposing the next lockdown is enforced by disabling vehicles, protect your freedom of movement by maintaining a “dumb” car that can’t be shut off remotely.

Being prepared with food, medications, and waters is a basic but important precautions in the event of an emergency. If you can, take it one step farther and work towards becoming more self-sufficient. For instance growing some of your food, raising chickens, and other homesteading activities decreases the amount of pressure that can be applied to you in the event of the next lockdown. Tennessee happens to be a great place to do this too.

It is easier to do nothing of course. Hoping that the lockdown was a one time mistake and that the tyrants learned their lesson. If you were unprepared the first time, you could be forgiven. If you are still unprepared when the next lockdown comes you are partially responsible for allowing yourself to be imprisoned.
